Depending on the severity of the symptoms, Mr George would initially explore non-surgical options that includes physical therapy, medications, and lifestyle modifications. When this fails, surgery is a great option to improve a patient's quality of life and function. Below are some examples of common hip and knee conditions successfully treated by Mr George, using modern surgical techniques.
Hip Osteoarthritis
Hip osteoarthritis (wear-and-tear) can cause significant groin pain and discomfort. Luckily, there are both surgical and non-surgical options to alleviate symptoms. If an operation is required, a total hip replacement provides long-term relief, and is regarded one of the top operations to improve a patient's quality of life.
Further information about a hip replacement can be found here.
Knee Osteoarthritis
Knee osteoarthritis (wear-and-tear) can effect any part of the knee, and often in combination; effecting the patella (knee cap), inner or outer aspects of the knee joint. Mr George aims to explore non-surgical options but if these fail he offers treatments to preserve the cartilage through minimally invasive procedures, as well as partial and full (total) joint replacements.

Knee Sports Injuries
Mr George treats a range of problems to the knee that may have occurred whilst doing sports or other activities. This includes meniscal injuries, ligaments injuries (such as an ACL tear), or cartilage problems requiring minimally invasive procedures such as a knee arthroscopy (key-hole surgery).

Revision Joint Replacements
Occasionally a previously successful joint replacement may start to be uncomfortable, and may require a revision (re-do) procedure. After thoroughly investigating why the joint replacement has failed, Mr George offers revisions for total hip and knee replacements where the previous joint replacement is removed, and a new one inserted.
